That Crazy Old Uncle of Ours

“Uncle Walt” was let out of the basement again and obviously he's off his meds.

From BREITBART.COM
Iraqis should have been told that "our hearts are with you" and that the United States would do all it could to rebuild their country, he said.

"I think we could have been able to retire with honor," he said. "In fact, I think we can retire with honor anyway."
--Former CBS anchor Walter Cronkite

"our hearts are with you" - but the rest of us are leaving. Sorry about getting your hopes up about all that freedom stuff, but we’re sure that the history of South Viet Nam and Cambodia with 3 million people killed when we pulled out and cut off support to them won’t happen again. I mean look at all the nasty looks those countries got by committing genocide on their own population.

"In fact, I think we can retire with honor anyway." - where is the honor of running out half way through. This sounds like Nixon's "Peace with Honor" crap. After what we pulled on the Kurd's following Gulf War I, I was amazed that the Iraqi's trusted us as much as they did. If we abandon them again, we might as well just forget ever having any country trust us to back them up.
