Excuse me as I go into rant mode.
I have spent the day with the Alito hearings running in the background. Once again, what was suppose to be an interview discovering the qualification of someone to occupy one of the most important positions in the United States has devolved into the basest grandstanding by the esteemed (camera hungry) Senators.
With 30 minutes to delve into questions on his view on Constitutional law the Congresscritters are using 20 minutes to pontificate on what their views are on the law. STFU. I already know what your partisan and uninformed opinion is. If you could write a decent law with the correct wording, we wouldn’t need a court to rule it unconstitutional.
