Random Thoughts on a Sunday

Today did not start well.  Sat up in bed and due to allergies my sinuses decided to drain like the mighty Mississippi into the Gulf.  Followed immediately by Howard Dean being interviewed on FoxNews.  I felt like his inane spinning of facts and outright lies were wringing my brain and it was running out my nose.

If one more congresscritter says the military does not have the body armor they need, they should be forced to wear said body armor for one week and see how they like humping around all that weight.  Every soldier I’ve heard has said enough is enough.  Added weight = decreased mobility.  A soldier now carries 85pounds of equipment into combat.  I bet a congresscritter couldn’t make it up the capitol steps toting that.  Course, that could be a good thing.

Condi announced that the Paliswinian Authority will not be getting any aid from the US and Israel said it will not be sending the tax revenue of NIS 200 million (43 million $US) this coming Wednesday for the month of January.  Aught to be fun to watch them try to run a country with no revenue.

President Bush will give the State of the Union address this Tuesday.  Here’s hoping he lines out an actual conservative policy for the remainder of his term.  With midterm elections coming up we need a definite stance on where the GOP wants to go and how we plan on getting there.  Should make for a fun discussion over on the “Rott”.

Cindy Shitcan has announced she intends to run against Dianne Feinstein for California Senator.  This could prove to be the most fun I’ve had in years.  It will be enlightening how many Dhimicrats will abandon Feinstien for whatever the “Lady of the Ditch” has to offer.

Just read that the Useless Nitwits are chafing at the bit to get a hold of the global economy.  I am getting a deep, deep fear of where this will lead.  I will cover this in more detail this week.
